43049 is hauling a Class K branch pick-up freight in early 1960s, denoted by the single lamp over the buffer. Built in November 1949 to an LMS design by Ivatt, this 2-6-0 4MT was well travelled including spells at 21A, Saltley shed in Birmingham, 9F Heaton Mersey shed, Stockport until withdrawal from 12A, Carlisle Kingmoor shed on 5.8.67 and scrapped by Motherwell Machinery and Scrap, Wishaw in December of the same year.
