Leighton Buzzard engine shed c.late 1930s. Note the two arched entrances which were replaced by a single entrance when the shed was shortened. The loco is a G2A class, introduced in 1936 as a rebuild of the LNWR G1design by Bowen-Cooke, with a higher pressure Belpaire boiler and modified braking.
