A Dunstable train leaving Leighton Buzzard station in October 1948. The loco is an ex LNWR 2P,
18-inch, passenger tank. Designed by Webb in 1898, 6917 was completed at Crewe works in October 1901. It just managed to pass into BR ownership being renumbered 46917 until 30.4.1949, when it was withdrawn from Bletchley shed, (4A) and scrapped at Crewe.
