Station Name: LIVERPOOL CENTRAL HIGH LEVEL

At the time of opening Liverpool Central station was provided with a one-road tank shed. In May 1963 a former LMS tank engine is seen being watered in preparation for its next journey which would have, in all likelihood, been on passenger service along the CLC main line. Although most services out of Liverpool Central went over to DMU operation in 1960 steam trains did continue until 1966.
