Station Name: LIVERPOOL CROWN STREET

Crown Street Tunnel in August 1957 looking towards Edge Hill. The plaque reads 'This tunnel constructed in 1829 by George Stephenson served the original passenger terminus of the Liverpool & Manchester Railway at Crown Street. The tunnel portal was infilled in the early 1980's.
