Station Name: LIVERPOOL EXCHANGE

[Source: Paul Wright]

Looking into the trainshed in April 1977 shows a two=car Derby Built DMU leaving for Bolton or Manchester Victoria. Further into the trainshed can be seen an LMS EMU of 1938 vintage. The EMU is stabled on the middle line awaiting peak hour duties. Liverpool Exchange was a very busy commuter station being located in the heart of Liverpool's business district. Liverpool Exchange was not closed because it was not a busy station; it was replaced by an underground station called Liverpool Moorfields
