Station Name: LIVERPOOL EXCHANGE

[Source: Paul Wright]

An LYR express passenger service prepares to depart from Liverpool Exchange c.1915. Train crew and station staff can be seen posing for the photographer and in the background a large crowd of passengers can be seen. To the left of the picture horse-drawn cabs standing on the station's cab road waiting for business can be seen. The great great grandfather of Disused Stations contributor Paul Wright, Alfred George Dodson owned a cab of this type and would have regularly worked from Liverpool Exchange station.
