Station Name: LIVERPOOL EXCHANGE

A class 502 EMU of LMS vintage departs from Liverpool Exchange station in September 1976. It carries the Merseyrail logo. Merseyrail branding had been applied from the early 1970s. At this time a Merseyrail underground loop and link line was being constructed under the streets of Liverpool. The opening of the underground lines would see the closure of Liverpool Exchange station.
