The Shropshire & Montgomeryshire Light Railway deployed some interesting rail vehicles on its line. One such vehicle is seen in this view at Llanymynech station in the 1928. It consisted of a Ford road truck adapted for rail use and coupled to a passenger carrying trailer. Click here to read more about it.

A view looking south from the road overbridge at Llanymynech station in 1932. The south end of the down platform can be seen in the foreground. To the left of the platform are the Shropshire & Montgomeryshire Light Railway lines. To the right is the former Cambrian Railways main line. Beyond the platform is the junction between the two lines and beyond that the junction with the Nantmawr branch. At this time trains could no longer reach Nantmawr from Llanymynech but its southern section was used by Llanfyllin branch trains.
