The south entrance of Longbenton, looking north in July 2010. This was originally the only entrance, and it was completed in, or shortly after, 1947. The Metro has retained the neo-classical building, and it is clean and very well presented. The Metro ‘M’ on the flagstones in the foreground is a nice touch.
