Disused Stations: Longton Bridge Station

Signalman Don Harvey (left), stationmaster W Hughes (centre) and signalman F Kerridge (right) pose for a photograph at the east end of Longton Bridge station's down platform In 1961 . In the background is the LNWR pattern signal box that had been erected by the LMS in 1926 replacing an original WLR box that had dated from 1882. The occasion was the 45 years service presentation of a watch to signalman F Kerridge.
