The building at Maiden Newton station looking north-west in the 1960s. It is a single-storey ridge-roofed structure in knapped flint with limestone quoins. The awning is wooden and is an early style, flat and without a valance. Beyond the building and footbridge it is attached to the Bridport bay platform’s trainshed. The building in the foreground contains the gentlemen’s toilet. Beneath the awning are BR Southern Region lamps and totem name signs.
