Station Name: MANCHESTER CENTRAL

Looking east towards the Midland Hotel. The hotel was built between 1898 and 1903 by the Midland Railway Company to provide accommodation for passengers travelling to and from Manchester Central station. Originally a covered walkway linked the station concourse to the hotel so that passengers were sheltered from the weather. Manchester Central is seen to the left.
