The eastern wall and ceiling of the mezzanine level within the Manors East tunnel system in March 2005. The oval shaped space in the roof which is marked on the map, which dates from the period between 1887 and 1909 before Manors North was opened. The oval was probably a sky-light which was filled when the new signal box was built over it. This view is looking more-or-less north-east, with the blocked sky-light in the centre, blocked Croft Lane subway to the left and the remains of a suspended ceiling (which resembles rusty ladders), and some white glazed bricks.
