Looking down to the station entrance at the corner of Melbourne Street and Trafalgar Street in March 2005. These stairs led up to the island platform (7 & 8) and to a subway to Platform 1. The stairs have now been stripped out and a restaurant is being built (2005) in the old station entrance. This scene was used in the film 'Get Carter' - see still from the film below .
