Station Name: MARCHWOOD

[Source: Nick Catford]

Marchwood station in January 2006, presumably from the level crossing with a zoom lens which would explain the apparently short platform at its Totton end. Of the signals, that on the tall dolly controls the line to Fawley and that on the short dolly the spur to the military port. The spur is single track near the junction and then fans out to four tracks. Tracks then part company to pass on the east and west sides of the military site before ending on two of the port's jetties. There are also a number of other sidings including to the locomotive shed which is located to the south of the site.
