A westbound train is departing from Market Weighton c.1950s. Market Weighton West signal box is seen in the centre. The crossing keeper's house is seen on the left, this is the only railway building still standing at Market Weighton. The engine shed can be seen behind the signal box. 61068 is a Thompson B1 built in 1946 by the North British Loco Co. Glasgow. Withdrawn on 17.6.1963 from Ardsley shed (37A), it was cut up at Darlington Works in July of the same year.
