Market Weighton station c.1950s. 62701 is an ex-LNER D49, Shire class designed by Gresley. Completed on 26.11.1927 by Darlington works, it was named Derbyshire, one of 34 locos named after English and Scottish Counties. Withdrawn on 24.9.59 from 53A, Hull Dairycoates shed, it was cut up at Darlington works in October of the same year.
