 Looking south-east at Meols Cop station in 2001 as a class 142 Pacer DMU prepares to depart on a Manchester Victoria service. By this time the station had lost its building and possessed only simple waiting shelters. The DMU is standing at the platform previously served by Southport Chapel Street – Crossens electric trains up to 5 September 1964.
