Station Name: MILDENHALL

This delightfully rustic scene from July 1969 could be of anywhere. A disused sewerage works, a derelict WWII gun emplacement or perhaps the remains of a locomotive turntable. It is in fact the latter, at Mildenhall. The exact viewpoint is not easy to initially work out but thanks to the general density of the trees and the tree on the right we are looking in a north-westerly direction. It is not known what the item of ironmongery on the left is.
