The south portal of Weekday Cross Tunnel in June 1980; Nottingham Victoria was at the far end. The tunnel is 418yd long and was originally built for the Great Central Railway. It was completed in 1897 although the Great Central's Nottingham Victoria Station was not completed until 1900. In 2007 more heating pipes were laid through the tunnel to the Centre for Contemporary Art Nottingham.
