A J52 is seen shunting in Nottingham London Road Low Level goods yards c1952. 68814 was designed by Ivatt and built at Doncaster works in October 1900. Originally numbered 4210 it was renumbered 8814 by the LNER receiving the ‘6’ prefix after nationalisation. It had a working life of 55 years before being withdrawn from the local shed at Colwick in December 1955.
