A compound is seen passing a Nottingham Midland to Lincoln passenger train alongside Nottingham London Road Low Level station c1952. 42144 is a 4P-C, designed by Fairburn and built at Derby works. It remained in service until December 1963 when it was withdrawn from Polmadie shed to be cut up by T.W. Ward, Langloan, Airdrie in March 1964.
