8F 48217 is seen hauling an up goods passing Ashworth Kirk & Co's timber yard (opposite Nottingham London Road Junction) c1952. Ashworth Kirk and Co Ltd were timber merchants, saw millers, joiners and moulding manufacturers. The company originally began on Parkinson Street in 1842 and moved to the London Road premises in 1890.
