OSWESTRY (Cambrian)

Oswestry station seen in 1864 during the construction of the substantial up platform building that would become the headquarters of the Cambrian Railways company. A Newtown service can be seen to right.

The 12.50pm train to Gobowen is seen prior to departure at Oswestry on 28 August 1952. At the head of the train is ex-GWR 2251 Class 0-6-0 locomotive number 2244.
