A passenger service hauled by 'Beattie Well Tank' 3329 is approaching Padstow some time c1930s. They were 2-4-0T locos, original the LSWR 0298 class. No.3329 began life in 1875 as LSWR No.329 and became No.0329 in 1901. The Southern Railway renumbered it to 3329, as in the picture, and it went on to become BR No.30586 in May 1948. Withdrawal came in December 1962, from Wadebridge shed. She was one of three which long outlived the rest of the class, the others being 30585/7, for working the Wenford Bridge branch. The latter two survived into preservation, No.30586 was scrapped.
