Looking south at the site of Peak Forest station in October 2009. The site of the southbound platform can clearly be seen as a grass mound to the left of the picture. The locomotive and oil tanks occupies part of the site of the northbound platform. As demonstrated by the picture Peak Forest remains a busy railway location but not for passenger services. Peak Forest South signal box is also seen.
