Portland first station in January 1969. a few weeks before demolition. This view shows the original platform edge on the right while to the left the track was filled up to platform level when the building was converted into a goods shed. The cast iron columns appear to be the original supporting columns for the canopy. A 1959 view beneath the trainshed is seen below.
