Station Name: PRESTON (WEST LANCASHIRE)

The station frontage at Preston WLR station in the 1950s. It was still rail-served at this time despite being closed to passengers for half a century. The two white doors had originally led into the station's booking hall. To the left can be seen the three-storey part of the station. The upper levels had been the stationmaster's accommodation. To the right of the picture, out of view, was the entrance
to the goods yard.
