The last occupant of the house that was located to the east of Rainford Village station was Elizabeth Gladys Spencer. The house was known as 'Station House' but it pre-dated the station by over a century being built in 1733. Elizabeth is seen in the view standing outside the front door. The house was demolished in 1977.
