Station Name: RICKMANSWORTH CHURCH STREET

With just over 12 months service left, 41901 was chosen to work the Watford Junction to Rickmansworth and return leg of the LCGB North Western Branch Lines railtour on 29 June 1958. Built and credited to Stanier, this 0-4-4T emerged from Derby works and entered service in December 1932. Classified 2P, this design clearly has Fowler era characteristics, being designed before Stanier took over as chief mechanical engineer of the LMS and was the first design of his reign.
