Station Name: ROUDHAM JUNCTION
This building post-dates the railway and stands at the eastern end of the site of the branch siding and run-round loop. The railway to Swaffham ran between the industrial building and the cottage. The photo was taken from approximately the location of the signal box steps. Some felled telegraph posts with insulators attached are lying beside the fence. They may be the remains of the post that stood immediately east of the ‘box and can be seen in earlier pictures.
