ROWSLEY 2nd LOCOMOTIVE DEPOT

[Source: Glynn Waite (Rowsley Association)]

A telegram from Ancoats Goods to Rowsley in 1882 advising numbers of wagons on the 9.20pam and 9.40pm departures – essential information for forward train planning. This was barely five years after the Sidings opened. It is interesting to note that similar services were still operating when the Sidings closed.
