A northbound goods train approaching Rowslet station c.1960s. The wooden building on the right of the engine was the Signal & Telegraph cabin. Rowsley station signalbox was situated at the end of the Down platform until April 1910. Although the official station name from 1867, Rowsley for Chatsworth signs were not erected until BR days.
