Rowsley station decorated the station was decorated for the visit of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra on 3rd February 1903. The King and the Duke of Devonshire were contemporaries with similar interests. This particular visit (from Windsor) should have taken place on the previous day, 2nd February, but was put back due to illness.
