Rowsley station in 1981 - shows the layout of the main building with respect to the A6. It's very difficult to tell but close examination of the extreme right hand background suggests the bridge over the A6 has been removed by this point (it should be over the road just as it curves sharply to the left). Old Station Close now leaves the A6 at this same point going through the site of the station and trackbed.
