Looking south-east along the Sandgate branch down platform at Sandling Junction in April 2014. This part of the old platform is still used as part of the route from the station car park to Sandling station. The short section of canopy at right angles to the station building joined onto the canopy on the down branch platform to give a covered route for interchanging passengers.
