The buildings at Sandling Junction were of an unusual design not typical of the SER.  All three were single-storey, mock-Tudor in style, with applied timber frames and red brick infill, high hipped tiled roofs and gables surmounted by large brick chimneystacks. The only surviving building is seen in April 2014. The short section of canopy at right angles to the station building joined onto the canopy on the down branch platform to give a covered route for interchanging passengers.
