Station Name: SHAWCLOUGH & HEALEY

These cottages were already in existence when the railway was constructed close-by, on an embankment immediately left of the photograph. They were adopted for railway staff use because they were conveniently located for the Shawclough & Healey station, which stood on the elevated ground where the new houses can be seen. The cottages are known as Harridge Bank. The view is northwards from Dell Road in June 2015.
