Looking south towards the site of Shawforth station in January 2016 from the former railway trackbed, now metalled and used as a recreational path. The platforms were in the distance beyond the blue sign. The recess in the stone retaining wall on the right is indicated on OS maps but it is not clear what it accommodated. In later years ‘Tank’ is shown on the site.
