Station Name: SOUTH GOSFORTH

The subsidiary building on the up platform. This was constructed c1920 and contained a booking office, waiting accommodation and toilets. Tickets were issued from the office at the far end of the building and were identified as South Gosforth E (East). British Railways (North Eastern) ‘tangerine’ signage and LNER lamps complete the scene in February 1964 .
