gosforth_old40.JPG) In the summer of 1973 or 1974 the southern end of South Gosforth station is seen from the up platform. The former garden on the bank (left) which was previously tended as a garden is now neglected. Since the mid 1960s the signal box, further down this platform, and the siding behind the opposite platform have been removed.
