Disused Stations: South Gosforth Station

The quaint, rural character of South Gosforth station has been lost with the removal of the stationmaster’s house, the station building, the wooden store sheds and the garden from the down platform. The Metro control centre is under construction on the cleared site. This view is looking north from the up platform on 24 July 1977.
