Station Name: SOUTH GOSFORTH

Looking south from the footbridge at South Gosforth. Nothing remains of the Blyth & Tyne buildings, but the North Eastern Railway footbridge has been retained. The Metro control centre is beyond the footbridge, to the right. The distant down train is close to Ilford Road station, one of the new ‘halts’ installed by the Metro in 1980.
