Southport Lord Street station frontage in 1957. At this time the station was in use as a bus station.

A busy scene at Southport Lord Street station in 1960. Steel wheels on steel rails had given way to rubber on tarmac. Other than the space between the platforms being filled in the station had changed very little since the last train services had run in January 1952.
