Hauling the RCTS (West Riding Branch) 'The Borders' Railtour on 9 July 1961 is 256, 'Glen Douglas' leading with J37, 64624, a Reid design for the NBR and built at North British Loco in 1921. It was withdrawn from 62B, Dundee Tay Bridge shed in January 1966. 256 was built in September 1913 at the NBRs Cowlairs works. Renumbered 62469 by BR, this loco was withdrawn from 61C, Keith shed on 31.7.1959 to be preserved. It was overhauled, repainted in the bronze green livery of the NBR and used on railtours. Finally withdrawn in 1965, the loco was donated to Glasgow Corporation for display in the Glasgow Museum of Transport.
