Station Name: STALEY & MILLBROOK
Looking south towards the site of Staley & Millbrook passenger station in May 2015. The viewpoint is the embankment from which the now-demolished Spring Grove Viaduct crossed the shallow valley of Swineshaw Brook. The building on the left is a derelict factory which produced rubber mouldings, and it stands on the site of Spring Grove cotton mill. The passenger station building stood to the left of the modern utilities building in the centre of the picture, and its elevated platforms were on the wooded slope beyond.
