In April 1962 60150 is seen working a Class C freight northwards from the Middlesbrough line into Sunderland. A Peppercorn-designed A1 Pacific, it was built at Darlington works and entered service on 15 June 1949 at Heaton shed. Named ‘Willbrook’ it had a short working life of just over 15 years when it was withdrawn from 50A, York North shed on 5 October 1964 and sold for scrapping by Drapers of Hull during December of the same year.
