Sutton Park station looking north-west on 26 September 1980 from Anchorage Road bridge. With a rake of vans stabled in the former goods shed and a Class 31 locomotive stands on the loop having either deposited the wagons or arrived to collect them.

Looking south along the up platform on 5 March 1987 the postal depot was still receiving a small amount of rail traffic at this time although thwriting was on the wall for the flow which ended soon after.

A closer view of the remaining building on the down platform on 5 March 1987 with the toilet block having been demolished. The building would stand in this, slowly deteriorating, state for another decade.

The station frontage seen in March 1995 when the building had stood out of use for a number of years since the coal merchant vacated the premises.
