Merchant Navy Class locomotive 'Elder Dempster Lines' passing through Upwey and Broadwey station.in the 1960s.35050 entered service in April 1949 with the full air smoothed casing of Bullied's Pacifics. This Merchant Navy Pacific was built at Eastleigh works and also rebuilt there in April 1958, when it had its casing removed and Walschaerts valve gear fitted. The last of a class of 30 locos, it was withdrawn in July 1967 and scrapped shortly after.
